2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Core App Functionality

• Display Quran text, translations, and tafsir in your preferred language
• Calculate and notify you of prayer times based on your location

Security: All cloud data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted to your account only using Firebase Authentication.

• Opt-Out of AI: Don't use AI Search features to avoid sending queries to Google Cloud AI

6.2 Guest Mode Privacy

If you use the app without signing in (Guest Mode):

• All your data stays on your device only
• No data is synced to the cloud
• You won't be able to restore data if you delete the app
• Purchases are still linked to your Apple ID / Google Account (managed by the stores)

7. Data Retention

7.1 Local Data

• Stored on your device until you delete the app or clear app data
• Not accessible to us or any third parties

7.2 Cloud Data (If Signed In)

• Active Accounts: Data retained as long as your account is active
• Inactive Accounts: Data retained for 2 years of inactivity, then automatically deleted
• Account Deletion: Data deleted within 30 days of account deletion request

• Stored for 90 days to improve AI responses and enforce usage limits
• Anonymized after 90 days (personal identifiers removed)
• Aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely
